Annual reminder of how many days there are in each month

Selected poems

Mnemonic

Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November.
Unless a leap year is its fate,
February hath twenty-eight.
All the rest hath three days more,
excepting January,
which hath six thousand,
one hundred and eighty-four.

    Quite novel.

    As I remember my mnemonic:

    Thirty days hath September,
    April, June, and November;
    All the rest have thirty-one,
    ExceptingFebruary alone,
Which hath but twenty-eight days clear,
And twenty-nine in each leap year.

    Amen Anon

Dear Brian,I woke up in the middle of the night with this rattling around in my head:We hold these truths…   What did you do in the peace, Daddy? What did you do to protect us? Oh, I was an agent for ICE, laddie. Is that why good people reject us?   How did you stand up for good, Daddy? How did you do what was right? I hid my face under a hood, laddie And murdered them, black, brown and white   What did you do that was brave, Daddy? How can you make me feel proud? I obeyed all the orders he gave, laddie And fired teargas into the crowd   Tell me what was it you did, Daddy To make this America great I locked up men, women and kids, laddie United the people in hate   How can you live with yourself, Daddy Helping democracy die? I served the pursuit of great wealth, laddie Like they said on the Fourth of July   Iain M Spardagus 26 January 2026Sent from my iPad
