The Last Bee
After the last ee
had uzzed its last uzz,
the irds and the utterflies
did what they could.
ut soon the fields lay are,
few flowers were left,
nature was roken,

Bumble Bee and the Stinger
Underneath my garden shed
Each year the bumble bees
Have made their nest while overhead
The rubbish rises by degrees
The deep fat fryer that packed up
The fan that gave up in the heat
The broken handled china cups
The broken garden seat
And then the Amazonian waste
Of cardboard boxes that were trees
Once, ere Jeff Bezos got the taste
For wealth that brought us to our knees
How many times will I have read
“We’ve found something that you might like”
He’s trying to get in my head
I wish he would get on his bike
But underneath the garden shed
The bees have made their simple nest
They come and go and bring no threat
I think I like the bumbles best
